Challenge
The property had a dated name and an even more dated identity. It wasn’t keeping up with Savannah’s growing demand for modern, inviting communities. DXE Properties needed a rebrand that would attract new residents and breathe life back into the space. The clock was ticking, but the design couldn’t look like it knew that.
Solution
We landed on The Retreat, a name that felt both classic and comfortable. It suggested calm, a place to unwind, and importantly, it was memorable without trying too hard. From there, the visual identity began to take shape with soft earth tones, cool blues, and typography that managed to be elegant without being aloof.
To round out the system, we developed a stylized palmetto monogram, tying the brand back to its Southern roots. Each detail, from moodboards to signage mockups to the final brand guide, was created to signal thoughtfulness and permanence. The result was an identity that felt inviting, refined, and grounded in place—everything the old brand had failed to be.
